Sam Kerr is fouled by Claudia Bunge and Australia are given a free kick. Catley and Carpenter are deciding who will take it but it’ll be Catley’s left boot. She delivers it straight into a mob of green, gold and black and Indiah-Paige Riley leaves with the ball.
Riley, who was New Zealand’s most threatening player last week, can’t make anything of the opportunity and it goes out of play. It’s certainly looking more crowded in the Matildas’ final third in this match, New Zealand aren’t giving letting Australia have as much room and are stopping chances to break through their defensive line.
