Tell us: how is your garden or allotment coping with the heat and drought?

Britain is experiencing another spell of extreme heat, with parts of the country facing their fifth heatwave of the summer and nearly three-quarters of England and the whole of Wales now in drought. Millions of people are also living under hosepipe bans as pressure on water supplies grows.

We’d like to hear from gardeners and allotment holders about how the hot, dry weather is affecting what you grow. What has thrived and what has struggled? Have you lost crops or plants or had any unexpected successes?

Have you changed how or what you grow or found new ways to conserve water? Is the changing weather making you rethink how you garden or grow veg in future?

Whether you have an allotment, a garden, a vegetable patch or just a few pots, we’d like to hear about your experience.
