Former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg mocked Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Rizwan earlier in the week. Reacting to the video circulating Rizwanâs teammate Aamer Jamal slammed the Australian. Jamal took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to vent his frustration. The Pakistan cricketer would go as far as to say it was a âvery shameful act.â
âI just watched a video which is circulating on Twitter and other social media It is a very shameful act from @Brad_Hogg who called himself an international cricketer making fun of @iMRizwanPak about his English which is his 3rd language not even 2nd,â Jamal wrote on X.

âI would rather suggest you become #TikToker because you might need followers and attention by making fun of other people That is the platform for you, not the cricket community,â Jamal added.
What did Hogg do?
Hogg would mock Rizwanâs English speaking skills. He would arrange a mock interview with a content creator and throughout the interview, the content creator would be made to replicate Rizwanâs speech patterns.

Hogg asks, âWhat do you think about Virat Kohli?â to which the impersonator humorously responds, âI and Virat are alike. He drinks water, I drink water. He eats food, I eat food. We are both the same; there is no difference.â The impersonator would even go on to say Rizwanâs most-used phrase like âYa win hai, learn.â

It’s absurd for an ex-Australian cricketer to participate in a video mocking the Pakistani captain’s English, considering his native language is Pashto. @Brad_Hogg#MohammadRizwan #PakistanCricket pic.twitter.com/7d6UQJu3Orâ Dr Ahmad Rehan Khan (@AhmadRehanKhan) March 18, 2025
Towards the end of the interview Hogg sarcastically appreciates the impersonatorâs English to which he responds by saying âYes, everyone in Pakistan says my English is excellent.â
While a few netizens have seen the funny side of it, a few have come down quite brutally on the former wrist spinner with comments on the video.
