Scott and Burns are the only two players under par over the tournament.
Tyrell Hatton is +1 and even after eight holes tied with Victor Hovland who is +1 after starting the day with three bogeys and a birdie in the first eight holes.
Rory McIlroy is in the clubhouse after shooting 67 in more benevolent conditions early in the day. Jon Rahm did the same.
The forever dangerous Scott Scheffler is tied for 11th on +5 after 11 holes having three putted twice already. It has been a rough week for the normally unflappable world No.1.
