Greg Rusedski has made a big prediction about the future of Jannik Sinner after watching him beat Carlos Alcaraz in the Wimbledon final.
Dethroning the two-time champion, he was by far the better player on the day, dismantling the Spaniard despite falling into a one-set deficit.
However, not to be denied in a second-straight major final against the very same opponent, he rallied back, showcasing his champion’s mindset.
He served big and bold in the most important moments, and when the pressure increased, so too did his level. It was a performance worthy of winning an event of this magnitude, and sets him up perfectly for so much more success in the coming years on every surface.
Rusedski has certainly suggested this.
Greg Rusedski makes prediction about Jannik Sinner’s future
Taking to X, the former British number one was keen to offer some instant praise for the world number one.
After all, in winning this title, Sinner surpassed Roger Federer in a crucial Grand Slam statistic. If this doesn’t explain the level he is competing at, then nothing will.
On track to finish his career with enough titles to rival the legendary Big Three that came before him, Rusedski actually hinted at this with his message.
Although brief, his words were impactful, as he wrote: ‘Too good from Jannik Sinner. Wimbledon Champion. He now holds 3 of 4 majors. Exercised the demons from his Roland Garros loss very quickly. 1/1 in the rivalry with Sinner /Alcaraz in major finals. Many more great finals to come.”
Jannik Sinner now holds three of the four Grand Slam titles
In winning Wimbledon and removing the two-time defending champion from his perch, Jannik Sinner is now the reigning champion in three of the four Grand Slams.
After all, last year saw him win both the US and Australian Open, and he would triumph at the latter once again earlier this year.

What’s even more frustrating is that, had he converted one of the three championship points he deservedly brought about at Roland Garros, he would be the holder of all four majors.
So close to creating his own little slice of history, Sinner will likely see this as an opportunity to create something new in the future rather than a frustrating near-miss.
After all, that champion’s mindset mentioned earlier is one that will surely carry him to many successes in his career.
