Among the superb qualities on display during Tarvet’s first-round encounter, one shot caught the eye – Tarvet’s serve.

The Brit was ice-cool on serve throughout the match, facing no break points.

The safety of his service games was assisted by a monstrous win percentage on first serves. Tarvet made 62 per cent of his serves, winning a remarkable 90 per cent of these points.

Tarvet also won 63 per cent of his second serve points and fired down seven aces during the win.

Riedi was less prolific on serve, winning only 50 per cent of his second serve points and registering five double faults during the contest.
