Emma Raducanu and Katie Boulter say if they will play doubles at Wimbledon

The Queen’s Club Championships is Emma Raducanu’s first tournament since she reached the second round of the French Open.

She is back on grass and is looking to make the most of her time on the surface by also playing doubles with Boulter.

The pair made an impressive start to their campaign by winning their opening match 6-4, 6-2 against Wu Fang-Hsien and Jiang Xinyu.

Post-match they discussed the possibility of continuing their partnership beyond Queen’s Club and playing at the Wimbledon Championships.

Raducanu was more cautious with her response, saying: “We’re just going to keep trying to do as best as we can this week and take it from there.”

While Boulter was confident and forthright as she added: “Scrap what she said, we’re going for the Wimbledon title.”

Emma Raducanu recalls how she felt playing doubles with Katie Boulter at Queen’s

Raducanu played just her second career WTA Tour doubles match on Monday afternoon.

She looked very relaxed during the match and she shared plenty of high-fives with Boulter as they laughed and joked with one another.

Though she was in good spirits during the contest, Raducanu admitted how anxious she felt before the match given her lack of doubles experience.

“I was actually very nervous before the match,” she said. “Probably more nervous than the singles, because I just didn’t really necessarily know what to do.

“But Katie made me feel so comfortable, and I’m just so pleased to get a win on the board.”
