The draw for the 2025 edition of Wimbledon is out, and so all the British players with dreams of doing the unthinkable can begin planning their next two weeks.
For some, it could be a historic period which puts them on the map. However, for others, it might be a short stay and a disappointing exit.
Much of how their time at the All-England Club will go centres around how favourable their draw is, particularly for those not quite as high up the rankings as Jack Draper.
However, some of the country’s best and brightest hopes have been dealt an almighty blow this morning, with every British player’s first-round draw listed below.
Every British man’s first-round match at Wimbledon
As noted, the 23-year-old US Open semi-finalist is expected to spearhead the bulk of British hopes at this latest Grand Slam.
That was, until Draper’s Wimbledon draw came out, throwing up a projected third-round clash with Alexander Bublik. First, he will have to beat Sebastian Baez in the first round, and potentially Marin Cilic in the second.

Elsewhere, Dan Evans will face fellow Brit Jay Clarke, whilst Jacob Fearnley has a blockbuster opening match against Joao Fonseca.
It will be the battle of the youngsters for Henry Searle, who won the junior Wimbledon event last year. He faces 21-year-old Ethan Quinn from the US.
Speaking of Americans, it’s Tommy Paul who Johannus Monday will have to face in his first-round match, arguably the toughest of the bunch for the Brits.
- Cam Norrie vs Roberto Bautista Agut
- George Loffhagen vs Pedro Martinez
- Oliver Tarvet vs Leandro Riedi
- Oliver Crawford vs Mattia Bellucci
- Billy Harris vs Hubert Hurkacz
Every British woman’s first-round match at Wimbledon
Emma Raducanu will face fellow Brit Mingge Xu in what will be her first-ever appearance in a Grand Slam main draw.
Should the 22-year-old win as expected, Marketa Vondrousova could await in round two, before Aryna Sabalenka will be hoping to end her run in round three.
Raducanu’s nightmare Wimbledon draw is quite comfortably one of the toughest in the entire event.

Katie Boulter has not had it much easier though, facing Paula Badosa in the very first round.
Hannah Klugman will have to get past Leylah Fernandez, whilst Sonay Kartal has Jelena Ostapenko.
It feels like very few of the British women have been handed kind draws, as the other five are listed below:
- Harriet Dart vs Dalma Galfi
- Fran Jones vs Yuliia Starodubtseva
- Heather Watson vs Clara Tauson
- Jodie Burrage vs Caty McNally
- Mika Stojsavljevic vs Ashlyn Krueger
