Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin reach first Malaysian Masters final in nine years after stunning top seeds

KUALA LUMPUR, May 23 — Men’s doubles pair Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani reportedly reached their first Malaysian Masters final in nine years after defeating top seeds Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik today.

According to The Star, Sze Fei-Izzuddin upset their national teammates 21-18, 21-12 in 33 minutes in the semi-finals at the Unifi Arena in Bukit Jalil.

Their previous appearance in the Malaysian Masters final came in 2017 in Sibu, Sarawak, where they finished runners-up to Indonesia’s Berry Angriawan-Hardianto.

Sze Fei-Izzuddin will face either Malaysia’s Wan Arif Wan Junaidi-Yap Roy King or Denmark’s Daniel Lundgaard-Mads Vestergaard in tomorrow’s final.
