BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief has said that government can’t decide where the federation office will be set up.
“WFI ka office kahaan chalega kahaan nahi chalega ye Sarkar ka prakaran nahi hai (Government can’t decide from where the WFI’s office will function),” the five-time BJP MP told ANI.
Indian Express on Saturday has reported that the WFI office is back to functioning at its old address — the long-time home of its former chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh at 21, Ashoka Road.

WFI Office moved out to Hari Nagar after Sports Ministry suspended WFI in 2023, following the accusations of sexual harassment by some of the country’s top women wrestlers against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
“Currently the WFI office is in Hari Nagar and we are looking for a new place,” maintained Brij Bhushan Singh.
“I have been associated with wrestling for a long time and because of this wrestlers and people associated with the sport keep coming to 21, Ashoka Road.

“It is not a big issue regarding the location of the WFI office. It will be decided by the federation and they are looking for it.”
Former WFI chief has said that the federation is looking for a new place for the office.
“WFI is looking for a new place and the office will be shifted soon,” he said.
“I am associated with the game. Wrestlers meet me, the athletes from other sports also come and meet me.
“It doesn’t matter who is saying what. I have not done anything wrong.
“Hum khel se jude haim Khiladi milte hai, apni samasya batate hai, mere se jo jo sakta hai nidaan karte hai (I have been associated with the sport for so long, athletes from different sports come to meet me, share their problems and I try to find solutions for them).
“Koi pratibandh toh hai nahi ki khiladiyon se nahi mil sakte hai (There is no restriction on me to meet athletes,” he said.
