Both skippers shone with tons in the first Test. In the first innings, Mhatre scored a quick 102 runs, and in the second innings, Shaikh scored 112 runs. Michael Vaughan’s son Archie Vaughan managed to pick six wickets in the second innings of the game, meanwhile Andrew Flintoff’s son Rocky Flintoff missed out on a ton in the first innings after scoring a solid 93.
As per India’s Vaibhav Suryavanshi has had a quiet game compared to the high standards he has set at 15 years of age. In the first innings, he scored 14 and chipped in with 56 in the second innings. He also became the youngest ever to score a half-century and pick a wicket in the same match.
