Jack Draper is now turning his attention to the grass court season after exiting the French Open.

Draper was one of the French Open favourites, and had already achieved his best result at the clay court major after reaching the fourth round.

Many had expected the Briton to reach the quarter-finals, but Draper was stunned by Alexander Bublik who came from a set down to claim an emotional victory.

Now looking to move on from that defeat, it has been announced that Draper will play doubles with a former top 10 player at his next ATP tournament.

Draper will be one of the big British hopes during the upcoming grass court season, including at Queen’s where he beat Carlos Alcaraz last year.

Not only will Draper be playing singles at the iconic ATP 500 tournament, but he will also be playing doubles alongside a former top 10 player.

That player is Grigor Dimitrov, who won the Queen’s singles title in 2014 and has been ranked as high as world number three.

This will be the first time that Draper has partnered Dimitrov in doubles, but they are not the only unlikely pairing.

Some of the other more traditional singles players that will be partnering one another include Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul, Holger Rune and Jakub Mensik, as well as Lorenzo Musetti and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard.

Who has Jack Draper played doubles with before?

Draper is by no means a regular doubles player, but his partnership with Dimitrov will not be his first rodeo.

The last three times Draper has played doubles has been alongside Czech player Tomas Machac, with their most recent collaboration coming at the Monte Carlo Masters.

Draper also played alongside singles world number one Jannik Sinner at the Canadian Open in 2024.

Last year at Queen’s Club saw Draper partner his compatriot Cameron Norrie, who just lost to Novak Djokovic at the same stage of the French Open.

Queen’s Club will be the only grass court tournament that Draper plays in the lead-up to Wimbledon this year, with the men’s event getting underway on Monday, June 16.
