After bombing a tricky try-scoring chance in the first half Daly Cherry-Evans looks to have scored what could be a crucial try for his new team. A bomb goes up, it looks set to sail over the sideline before Mark Nawaqanitawase leaps and bats it back infield. The ball scrambles towards the Warriors’ tryline, Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad tries to clean it up but is pressured by James Tedesco and the ball scoots free for Cherry-Evans to touch down.
The bunker checks to see if Nicoll-Klokstad has forced it in the in-goal before losing possession, and it’s taking some time. It’s very, very close but the bunker has ruled the ball touched the tryline while in Nicoll-Klokstad’s possession so it’s a drop-out.
And now the Roosters have managed to give away a penalty in possession, Lindsay Collins needlessly shoving a defender over before playing the ball. Dumb stuff.
Warriors 22, Roosters 6 with 35 minutes left
