Pakistan make two changes, bringing in Maaz Sadaqat and Naseem Shah for Saim Ayub and Razaullah
Sri Lanka on Tuesday won the toss and opted to bowl first in their crucial game of the ODI tri-series against Pakistan at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
Pakistan made two changes to their squad which last played against England the other day when they downed the visitors by just one wicket thanks to Shadab Khan’s unbelievable century.
They brought in dashing young batsman Maaz Sadaqat in place of Saim Ayub and Naseem Shah has been included in place of Razaullah.
Naseem had skipped the previous game due to dislocation of his left hand finger.
Maaz Sadaqat has scored 134 runs in six ODIs, having played his last one-day international on June 24 this year against Australia at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
He had been included in the squad last week as cover for players with minor niggles.
Pakistan the other day ensured their final berth with a one-wicket sensational win over England.
Shadab stitched a 89-run record tenth wicket partnership with Haris Rauf to achieve the 242-run target with 17 balls to spare. At one stage Pakistan were reeling at 154-9.
This was the third straight win which also put Pakistan in the October 31 final. Pakistan earlier had downed Sri Lanka by 37 runs before whipping England by 87 runs in Pindi.
This match serves as a practice show for Pakistan while its very important for Sri Lanka who also are in form having achieved the second highest score of ODI history when they did that the other day by racing to the 430-run target against England.
If Sri Lanka win on Tuesday (today) they will qualify for the final and if they lose then their game against England on October 29 will decide the second finalists.
