Tracy Austin has noticed a big change in Jack Draper’s backhand as she makes prediction about him ahead of Wimbledon

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have been dominating the ATP Tour at Grand Slam level.

They have won seven of the last eight majors on offer and they occupy the top two spots in the rankings.

They have kickstarted a new era following the prolonged success of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.

As they aim for more success at Wimbledon, Tracy Austin thinks there is another player who has made significant improvements that will pose a huge threat at the All-England Club.

Tracy Austin predicts how Jack Draper will do at Wimbledon and names the shot he has improved

Jack Draper has improved his results exponentially over the past year. The 23-year-old is now the British number one and has reached a Grand Slam semi-final and claimed a Masters 1000 title.

He has also been ranked inside the top five and Draper has no plans on stopping there.

Austin thinks the improvements in Draper’s game, especially to the backhand, give him a chance to become the man outside of Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner to claim a Grand Slam, especially Wimbledon.

“I think with the amount of firepower that he has with the serve, who would want to return that serve. That ability to hit the can opener, the kick, and he can body serve you,” Austin told Tennis Channel.

“Then I think Draper’s gotten so much better in the forecourt. He commits to his backhand now, that was a shot that you could get to before and maybe get a little bit of a reprieve and breathing room.

“And how about his confidence? I think him winning Indian Wells is kind of like the last check mark, winning a big title match after match, and I think he has enough time at Wimbledon to deal with all the press.”

Jack Draper can clinch career-high seeding at Wimbledon if he reaches semi-finals at Queen’s

Draper is set to head into Wimbledon in the strongest position he has been in so far.

He has three titles to his name and is ranked comfortably inside the top 10, but he can climb higher up the rankings before heading to the All-England Club.

If Draper reaches the semi-finals at Queen’s, he will be seeded number four for the grass-court Grand Slam.

This is due to the opening round exit of America’s Taylor Fritz, the current World number four, who lost to Corentin Moutet despite holding a match point.

Should Draper secure this seeding at SW19, he will not face the higher seeded players such as Sinner, Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev before the semi-finals.
