In a hilarious incident during the Major League Cricket match between MI New York and San Francisco Unicorns, Michael Bracewell tried to go for a review after he was clean bowled. Bracewell, representing MI New York was cleaned up by Romario Shepherd and curiously asked for a DRS.
He realized his mistake seconds later and with an awkward laugh, went back to the pavilion while the moment instantly went viral on the internet.

In the match, the Unicorns batter first with Matthew Short scoring 91 and Jake Fraser-McGurk making 64 as they helped their team post a formidable 246/4. Kieron Pollard was the pick of the bowlers and he picked 2 wickets for 31 runs. This was the Unicorns’ fourth 200-plus total in five outings this season.

Chasing, New York’s Quinton de Kock scored 70 and Monank Patel slammed 60 but they could only reach 199/6 with the unicorns wining by 47 runs. de Kock and Patel blazed their way to a 119-run stand in just 9.3 overs before the latter was dismissed
Incidentally, this wasn’t the first time when a batter had asked for a review after he was cleaned up. England spinner Shoaib Bashir had done exactly that last year when he had asked for DRS after getting cleaned up by India’s Ravindra Jadeja. Joe Root, who was at the non striker’s end, was in splits and informed his partner that he was out.
Ravichandran Ashwin was another player who mistakenly asked for a review after being cleaned up by New Zealand’s Ajaz Patel in 2021.
With Patel’s delivery clipping the top of off stump, Ashwin did not know about it and thought he was given out caught behind. He soon realized what had transpired and walked back to the hut.
