Full time: Atletico Madrid 2-2 Bayern Munich
Well Pernille Harder had thought she had not only equalised but scored the winner with two goals following an early penalty but Fiamma Benitez scored late on to ensure they came away with a point.
Michael Robinson has emailed:
I agree that it’s an issue that United and Chelsea have a lot of empty seats tonight. But from a United point of view, that’s entirely down to the club. The PSG game at old Trafford had a good turnout, but all the subsequent games have been at Leigh, which is quite simply miles away. I can be tucked up in bed at 10:30 after a night game at OT, but you’re talking nearer 11:30 for LSV which is something I can’t be doing on a school night.
An even bigger issue for me though is the games being on yet another streaming platform. I’m forced to watch flipping city and follow United on the text commentary which is infuriating.
I do know a number of fans who are frustrated that the UWCL has been moved to Disney +. And it is a fair point about the crowd but it’s still a disappointing sight when the game has such a high quality.
Full time: Man Utd 0-3 OL Lyonnes

Full time: Chelsea 6-0 Roma
Well that is quite the response after Chelsea lost their first game of the season against Everton last week. An absolute demolition job at Stamford Bridge which puts the Blues third in the table as things stand.
In the closing minutes Atletico manage to snatch one back, deserved on the balance of things.
GOAL! Atletico Madrid 2-2 Bayern Munich (Benitez 89)
Late drama!
Diani makes a great run who crosses in and Dumornay takes a one-touch finish. Five mintues added at Leigh Sports Village.
GOAL! Man Utd 0-3 OL Lyonnes (Dumornay 90)
Another cracking goal.
Chelsea 6-0 Roma, 90 min: Roma win a corner and look for a consolation. They take it short and it comes in but it’s well defended. Three added minutes at Stamford Bridge.
Man Utd 0-2 OL Lyonnes, 88 min: OL Lyonnes are just a different beast in this competition. Yes they haven’t won it for a few years but that doesn’t mean they are any easier to play against, they haven’t given United an inch.
Bronze looked as though she was going to cross it but seeing Lukasova a little off of her line went for it herself and it went in.
GOAL! Chelsea 6-0 Roma (Bronze 87)
That was a beauty.
Man Utd 0-2 OL Lyonnes, 85 min: United fans may be frustrated with this performance but the last time OL Lyonnes lost in this stage of the competition was in 2022.
Chelsea 5-0 Roma, 85 min: The Blues have continued their relentless tirade but are yet to hit the net again. They do have time to make it six though.
Harder has to be one of the best players of this generation. What an effort from the Denmark star.
GOAL! Atletico Madrid 1-2 Bayern Munich (Harder, 78)
She is at it again.
The forward is just outside of the box, goes to run left, goes right and absolutely wallops it in.
GOAL! Man Utd 0-2 OL Lyonnes (Dumornay 81)
A screamer.
Man Utd 0-1 OL Lyonnes, 81 min: Diani makes a great run down the right and crosses in but Le Tissier is there to see it clear.
Chelsea 5-0 Roma, 81 min: Roma’s performances this season have been so underwhelming. Rushed attack, frantic defence and huge scorelines. Tonight is no different.
Man Utd 0-1 OL Lyonnes, 78 min: Brand pokes a ball across the face of goal but no one is there to make the finishing touch, if they were that was a sure goal with Tullis-Joyce out of position.
A long ball finds Reiten who passes to Hamano who made a great run.
GOAL! Chelsea 5-0 Roma (Hamano 77)
Sorry Roma, slight commentators curse there.
Chelsea 4-0 Roma, 76 min: Chelsea’s press has slowed in the last few minutes, Roma have seen more of the ball but they are yet to create a real chance. The result, though anything could happen, is practically wrapped up and Chelsea’s performance right now is showing that.
Man Utd 0-1 OL Lyonnes, 74 min: United win a corner as their attack starts to trouble OL Lyonnes a little. It’s the hosts’ first corner of the evening but it’s easily defended.
Man Utd 0-1 OL Lyonnes, 72 min: United are winning the ball back in good positions but they just cannot execute the final passes. Rolfo finds Malard on the edge of the box in their latest bid for a goal but she is muscled off of the ball.
Chelsea 4-0 Roma, 71 min: Roma are just having no joy in possession and it shows as Pilgrim is off for Pante as the visitors try and get on the board at Stamford Bridge.
Man Utd 0-1 OL Lyonnes, 69 min: Malard starts a great attack but it ends with Engler collecitng the ball from a Riviere cross. The hosts need to show more of that in these closing 20 minutes if they want anything from this match.
Man Utd 0-1 OL Lyonnes, 67 min: Those substitutes have now been made for the visitors with Schrader also entering the pitch, to boos from United supporters.
Harder is such a crucial player for Bayern Munich and she comes good again as she converts the pressure the German club have been putting their opponents under.
GOAL! Atletico Madrid 1-1 Bayern Munich (Harder 63)
Who else?
Chelsea 4-0 Roma, 67 min: Peng gets her first touch in a long time as a long range ball comes in but she deals with it well and Chelsea set another attack.
Man Utd 0-1 OL Lyonnes, 64 min: I cannot imagine what it must be like to be a tiring United side and see the likes of Katoto and Diani warming up. They will be entering the fray soon.
Chelsea 4-0 Roma, 64 min: Another amazing save from Lukasova. She has conceded a lot tonight but she has also saved her team on a few occasions, this time from a looping ball from Potter.
Man Utd 0-1 OL Lyonnes, 62 min: Hegerberg gets a shot in but it’s wide, she has been kept quite quiet in this encounter – the lead scorer in the Women’s Champions League.
Chelsea 4-0 Roma, 62 min: Chelsea have made a change with Kaneryd off for Jean-Francois. The perfect game for a lot of rotation with such a big lead for the Blues.
Man Utd 0-1 OL Lyonnes, 59 min: Damaris is on the ground with an issue which she needs medical treatment for. United fans boo her but she will need to sit out for 30 seconds after the treatment, it didn’t look like something that would see her unable to continue. She is back to her feet now and yes she will stay on.
Man Utd 0-1 OL Lyonnes, 58 min: Toone finds Rolfo, who feeds Sandberg but her cross has too much on it for it to become a real chance.

Atletico Madrid 1-0 BayernMunich, 53 min: Bayern Munich are continually knocking on the door but Atletico are having a great performance to maintain their lead.
Man Utd 0-1 OL Lyonnes, 54 min: If you are getting confused by the timings on the different games, they kicked off at slightly different times in the second half. Anyway back to the action, OL Lyonnes remain in control and do not look troubled by United despite their good start to this second half.
Chelsea 4-0 Roma, 54 min: What a cracking save from Lukasova as Chelsea looked certain to be scoring a fifth goal. She made herself big and halted that attack, great response after conceding the penalty.
Man Utd 0-1 OL Lyonnes, 51 min: United are looking more promising in this half and Toone has been a bright spark but she is found to be offside in their latest attack.
