Ralph Lauren clothes and Annie Hall script among Diane Keaton items to be auctioned

Six months after the death of Oscar-winning actor Diane Keaton, four auctions have been announced to sell items from her personal collection.

Keaton died in October 2025, aged 79, from pneumonia. This June, a series of sales in New York and Los Angeles will allow fans to purchase Ralph Lauren clothes worn by Keaton, as well as the original, untitled script for 1977’s Annie Hall.

Bonhams’s collection, Diane Keaton: The Architecture of an Icon, is billed as a “thoughtfully curated selection of fine art, interiors, iconic fashion, personal objects, and other creative touchstones from the acclaimed actress, film-maker, author and style icon”.

Keaton’s sister, Dorrie Hall, added: “To speak of her is to speak of instinct, an unerring visual and creative intuition that guided her across decades of artistic exploration.”

The auction lots are still to be revealed, but it is believed it also includes some of Keaton’s original collages, as well as clothes designed by Thom Browne.

As well as starring in some of cinema’s most celebrated and best-loved films including The Godfather trilogy, Reds, Marvin’s Room, Something’s Gotta Give, as well as eight movies with Woody Allen, Keaton was also an artist and designer of clothes and homewares.

She was an accomplished house flipper, who bought and renovated properties, before selling them on for considerable profit.

At last month’s Oscars, Keaton’s The Family Stone co-star Rachel McAdams paid tribute to the actor, saying: “She wore so many hats, literally and figuratively – actress, artist, author, activist – but no hat more important to her than being a mother to her two children. She meant so much to so many of us.”
