Chen beat wushu athlete Si Shin Peng, silat exponent Mohd Khairi Abib Azhar, bowler Rafiq Ismail and bodybuilder Abdul Aziz Ahmad for the Sportsman award.

Toh edged wushu athletes Tan Cheong Min and Pang Pui Yee, lawn bowler Emma Firyana Saroji and bowler Natasha Roslan for the Sportswoman title.

National para powerlifter Mohd Yusof Hafizi Shaharuddin won the Paralympic Sportsman award, while Carmen Lim took the Paralympic Sportswoman honour.

Each winner received RM20,000 and a trophy from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
