Mexico and Costa Rica will both advance to next weekend’s Concacaf Gold Cup quarterfinals after a scoreless draw at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday.
Mexico only needed a draw to finish atop Group A and got the result it needed. It will play Saudi Arabia in the quarterfinals, while Costa Rica will play the United States, which was the winner of Group D with three wins.
