Super League: JDT crush DPMM 10-0 to stay perfect as Kuching City, Penang settle for draw

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 — Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) continue to assert their dominance in the Super League by carving out a 10-0 win against DPMM FC at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium last night.

Bergson Da Silva was top scorer in the one-sided match, scoring four goals (ninth minute, 35th, 37th, 73rd), while his teammates Oscar Aribas (45th+1), Manuel Hidalgo (56th), Arif Aiman Mohd Hanapi (68th), Jairo Da Silva (82nd) and Romel Morales (88th) scored once each in the rout. 

DPMM FC’s Pengiran Yura Indera Putera Pengiran Yunos, meanwhile was unfortunate enough to score an own goal in the 64th minute.

JDT has won all eight of their Super League matches this season, topping the league standings with 24 points and today’s 10-0 win is their biggest scoring match so far.

Meanwhile, Kuching City FC and Penang FC had to split points after they drew 1-1 at Sarawak State Stadium last night.

The visitors scored first through Tchetche Kipre in the 14th minute while Kuching FC’s Wanja Ronald Ngah tucked in a penalty during the first half’s injury time (45th+7).

The draw means Kuching City FC is third in the league with 14 points, while Penang is ninth with five points. 

Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) had a good match tonight as they collected three points by beating PDRM FC 2-0 at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium, Paroi. 

NSFC’s goals came from Joseph Esso (53rd) and Jovan Motika (58th). NSFC is currently fifth in the league, tied with sixth-placed Kelantan FC with 11 points, but ahead due to goal difference. — Bernama
