When Liverpool FC found the back of the net five times against tottering Tottenham Hotspur to win their second Premier League title on Sunday since the rebranding of the English top division football, the Arne Slot team also equalled Manchester United for most English titles with the 20th title win.
Both Man Utd and Liverpool have won 20 English titles. Liverpool had a terrific season in England, having been unbeaten in 32 out of 34 matches, winning 25 and losing just two games throughout the 2024-25 season to win the title with four matches remaining.

The German Klopp has been Liverpool’s finest manager in the recent past. He led Liverpool to one Premier League title, one Champions League crown, an FA Cup, two EFL Cups, the Community Shield, a UEFA Super Cup and a Fifa Club World Cup title.
Eighteen of Liverpool’s 20 championships were won before 1992, when the Premier League replaced the First Division as England’s top league. Arsenal were the second-best side with 10 First Division titles, followed by Everton (9), Manchester United, Aston Villa (both 7 titles each) and Sunderland (6).
Post 1992, Manchester United dominated the Premier League era, with 13 titles — all under their legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
